Ashlyn was welcomed into the Young Women's program last night. This is going to be a grate ride for all us girls. The young women's program has just changer this year and thy have opened it up to all women over the age of 12 in the church to work on. The only thing is that you must work on it with a YW girl. And I am.. Morgan will be in Faith in God coming this May. So Look out world Here thy come..
One of this years goals was to do some of my family's history and I have but I have found out that quiet alto of it has din found and don. I will keep tyring.
As in all thing there is a season. And I guess I am still trying to find mine. Have a grate day

Disappointment IN DC
Disappointment in DC in a Big way. As you all know we live about 45 min from DC our Nations capital. As a family we have visited there quit a few times and have LOVE IT ALL. Until NOW!! Our family made it a gaol to visit every National Museum and Monument in and arrowed the area before we leave. Good gaol.
So today we went to see the Library of Congress and the National Aquarium. Both are in DC. Our first stop was the library where it hold every book ever printed in the US and some of the world. Well the attache is beautifully as we have come to know and expect form these old and prominent buildings. In side there are a few exhibit rooms. And Yes there is a library this is the catch you have to has a LIBRARY CARD.. That can not be retrieved in the same building you have to walk down the block to get one. And to look at the books you must be 16 year or older to be their on your won EXPENDED. But This is a research library only...What a bummer..
Now we were huger and went to lunch. And spent way to much for 2Kids pizza and a salad and sandwich.
O well off to the Aquarium.. Morgan was so excited to see and so were the rest of us. It was a little of the beaten path. But OK. The aquarium shared a building.. OK.Thought security no sine of the aquarium, down long and submarine like starer well. OK. PAY YES PAY this is the only one in DC you have to pay for.. We should have herd the warning bells by now but NO. We pay the over $25 for all of us to go down a starer well to see a privet collision. This was a ONE HALLWAYS MUSEUM.. WHAT THE HECK!!!! The girls were don in 30 miens. All of it. Ashlyn sad" Wall-Mart may have more""..
So a warning to all of you who go. Don't go to the Aquarium. Save your money for Lunch. And go to the Li bray of congeries to see the building.
Well if you don't go you don't know!!!
We will go again. This does cross off 2 more building on the long list.

New Year New Me
You all know that I am worst blogger in the history of bloggers. Which brings me to the New Year and a new me. I am giving myself a new year’s resolution. I am not fond of the word resolution. It is as if I have never done anything to begin with. I like a NEW YEAR DECREE or NEW YEAR DETERMINATION it sounds more of what I am tiring to do with the year. I am determined to do a few new challenges this year and hear they are.
1. I am going to exercise every day in one way or another; be it a walk, swim, bike, hike, gym or Wii fit. I will be more active in the year 2010.And Marc can come along for the ride. I will be starting Monday 4th of January.
WHEN THE KIDS ARE BACK IN SCHOOL!!!!!
2. I am picking up where my father had left off in our family history. My father had gathered information form all over and it has yet to be put in order. He has left this up to me to do, and to finish as if anyone can finish there genealogy. I have a new inspiration form church with a new genealogist to work with me. She is pointing me in the right direction. With some luck I will be able to get at least 3 full generations complete on my father’s side by the end of the year.
3. This is one I will try not to lack on. I am going to blog ever other week. This was inspired by my sister in law, Chalet. Whom in the year 2009 did a 365day Blog and my I add she DID IT (almost) Thank you Char!
Here you all are my NEW YEAR DETERMINATIONS.
This is the 1st of 24 blogs this year.
GOOD LUCK TO ME!!

Summer is to fair spent
Summer, summer, to fair spent. We have had a summer of sun, water, history and Family. School starts on Tuesday with a new chapter for both girls. Morgan will be in the first grader. Homework will be her new achievement. This will be her frist year with her going all day in one school. Ashlyn will be going from being a big fish in a little pond to a little fish in a big pond. Ashlyn will be a 6th grader in Stone wall middle school. I wish her all the best of luck. As for the summer I have seen my kids grow in strength, personality, heath, and in just being kids. I have enjoyed this summer. I will miss them this age and there giggles at the simple thing. The wonder they see the world. I hope for all you that you have seen your own kids grow this summer and have taken it in with a glass of lemonade. As the sun sets on another summer I thank your Heavenly Father for these times...

Zoo
It was a day for walking. We decided to go to the zoo. We made a lunch and boarded the subway. The subway drops you off about 3/4 of a mile away from the zoo and of course an uphill walk. The zoo is a little zoo about 220 acres and on a hill so you start at the top and walk down hill looking at animals. Then you have to walk up the hill to get back to the subway. Of course we had to stop for frozen yogurt when we were done. then back on the subway and back to home with everyone a little tired with feet that were a little sore.

The story continues
Brenda's visit continues. I believe that cold weather might be following her. The first full day here was only in the 70's in Aug so we went to Washington DC to see the monuments and the Declaration of Independence.
The day started off with lunch in China town. Then a short walk to see the declaration of Independence. The off to the monuments. It was a perfect day for walking.

Another visitor from the west.
Air and space
Grandma with the girls
Brenda arrived yesterday. We are the last stop on her whirlwind summer of traveling. She did a spring break in Ireland then did a 10 day trip to Florida the anther 10 days in Iowa and then 10 days visiting us in northern Virginia. She arrived at ~1:30pm at Dulles international airport which is about 15 miles from our home. Since we were in the at the airport we stopped at the national air and space museum. Had a chance to very everything from early flying machines to a space shuttle. Then we went home. Brenda took a quick cat nap while dinner was prepared. After dinner went to the pool and the girls showed Brenda how much they have improved swimming. Then finished the day off with a redbox movie and ice cream.
